Robbie St. Jean was first introduced to the Martial Arts back in 1986 with a seasonal trial offer in Scarborough, Ontario. Enrolled in traditional karate with his foster brother at the local recreation centre, the training did not last, but it planted a seed.

Fast forward to Steve Stewart's Modern Martial Arts affiliate school in Chatham, Ontario, on February 18th, 2000. Gary Anstice, who owned the school at the time, was his first instructor. Robbie remembered what had first attracted him to the Martial Arts, and immediately immersed himself in a lifelong study.

When he reached the level of orange belt, he was asked to assist in classes by teaching Kenpo Karate to lower belts, a basic introduction to new students. He quickly found that passing knowledge onto others was both challenging and very rewarding. It was at this time that Rob truly understood his passion for the Martial Arts and realized that he wanted to open his own school.

Robbie also joined the Pressure Points Study Group and earned his 1st (Dan) Black Belt in Kyusho Jitsu on May 25th, 2002. The following year, July 1st, 2003 he completed the Kenpo Karate Adult Black Belt Program and achieved the rank of 1st Degree Black Belt.

September 27th, 2004, Sensei Rob St. Jean opened his 1st Karate School, Dynasty Martial Arts (DMA) in Blenheim, Ontario.

October 29, 2004, Rob received his 2nd Dan (Nidan) in kyusho-jitsu.

June 26, 2005, Rob receives his 2nd Degree black belt in American Kenpo Karate.

November 10th, 2006, Rob received his 3rd Dan in Kyusho-Jitsu

July 1st, 2007, Rob receives his 3rd Degree Black belt in American Kenpo.

He has helped other instructors to open their own Martial Arts studios. He continues to tailor the leadership skills of his Junior Black Belts and Assistant Instructors to achieve Black Belt Excellence in all aspects of their lives.

October 2, 2008, Sensei Rob opened his second location in Sarnia, Ontario.

June 28th, 2009, Rob receives his 4th Degree black belt in American Kenpo.

On, September 1, 2016, Sensei Rob transferred ownership of Sarnia's Dynasty Martial Arts to Sensei Randy, who had been one of Sensei Rob's students since 2007.
